Örgryte IS is now leading Division 1 Södra after a very impressive victory at home on Valhalla 1 Artificial Grass against Norrby IF. The match began with a fairly even pattern of play where both teams created chances, but it was Örgryte who managed to take the lead first after 14 minutes when Sebastian Ohlsson scored 1-0 following a nice pass from Jens Svensson. Norrby tried to respond but couldn’t find the net before the halftime break.

In the second half, Örgryte increased the pace and created several dangerous chances. Norrby brought in Adam Ståhl to try to change the flow of the game, but Örgryte continued to dominate, and Stellan Carlsson came on as a substitute and immediately showed his worth by scoring two goals in just a few minutes. First, he made it 2-0 in the 74th minute, and then he increased it to 3-0 just three minutes later. Norrby then lost some of their confidence, and Örgryte was able to easily control the match until the final whistle.

Örgryte IS was the better team throughout the match and truly deserves the victory. Norrby IF, on the other hand, needs to continue working on their game to keep up at the top of Division 1 Södra.

The attendance of 1,320 once again shows that football is alive and that there is great interest in the teams in this league. Referee Diako Behnam and assistant referees Niklas Nyberg and Victor Jensen did an excellent job and kept the match well-organized.
