It was a sunny Saturday afternoon at Örjans Vall when IS Halmia hosted Skövde AIK in Division 1 Södra. Before the match, IS Halmia was in 9th place in the table while Skövde AIK was second to last.
Just 20 minutes into the game, the home team took the lead through Andreas Wrele, and then increased their lead with another goal before halftime, when Sonny Karlsson found the back of the net.
Immediately after the break, IS Halmia continued to dominate, and Egzon Maholli extended the lead to 3-0. Skövde AIK made a substitution and fought their way back into the match with a goal from Edin Hamidovic.
But it wasn't enough for the visiting team, as IS Halmia also benefitted from an own goal, and Karlsson scored another one. Despite a consolation goal from Skövde AIK by Vanderson da Silva Souza towards the end of the match, they could not threaten IS Halmia's lead.
The match ended 4-2 to IS Halmia, which meant three important points for them in the quest for a higher position in the table. The spectators present enjoyed an entertaining match with several goals and a well-deserved home victory.
