Mjällby AIF defeated FC Höllviken 6-2 in a well-played match on Sunday afternoon. The home team took the lead in the 18th minute when Mamudu Moro found the net after a nice pass. Just a few minutes later, Marcus Ekenberg made it 2-0 for Mjällby, and there could have been more goals before halftime if it hadn't been for some great saves by Höllviken's goalkeeper.

In the second half, Ekenberg increased his goal tally to a hat trick when he headed in the ball after a corner in the 57th minute. Anton Viklund temporarily reduced the score for Höllviken when he made it 4-1 in the 63rd minute, but Mjällby responded immediately with two quick goals from Joel Nilsson and Ekenberg again.

Viklund scored Höllviken's second goal at the end of the match, but it did little to change the outcome against a dominant Mjällby. Despite a warning for William Arrhenius Leandersson and Jesper Gustavsson in the first and second halves, respectively, the home team managed to keep the number of dangerous free kicks to a minimum and secured a much-needed victory at home. The referee, Jonas Karlsson, kept good control of the match alongside Assistant Referees Besim Boletini and Ajdin Mlivic in front of 1,405 spectators at Strandvallen A-plan.
