Mjällby AIF continues its strong season start in Division 1 Södra after a comfortable 3-1 victory against Oskarshamns AIK. The match began with a high tempo, and it didn’t take long before Mjällby took the lead. Already after three minutes, Bubacarr Jobe found the net with a nice header. The home team tried to respond but struggled to create clear goal-scoring opportunities.

In the 26th minute, Oskarshamns AIK made their first substitution when Christopher Christensson replaced Christopher Mbamba. Despite several attempts by the home team to get back into the match, Mjällby held firm and went into halftime with their lead intact.

In the second half, Mjällby substituted goalkeeper Jesper Johansson for Max Rundqvist in the 51st minute. Just a few minutes later, Emil Skogh received a yellow card for Oskarshamns AIK. Amer Eriksson Ibragic from Mjällby also received a yellow card, just like his opponent.

Oskarshamns AIK tried to stay in the game, and in the 71st minute, they pulled one back through Filip Jägerbrink. However, it was too late for them to catch up. In the final minutes, the home team had a chance for a penalty, but Sonny Karlsson missed.

Mjällby held onto their lead and won 3-1 at Arena Oskarshamn in front of an audience of 759. Axel Norén and Taylor Silverholt got the chance to come on late in the match. With the victory, Mjällby maintains its position as the league leader in Division 1 Södra.
