IFK Norrköping FK secured a convincing 2-0 victory against IK Tun in a women's match in Division 1 Södra Svealand at Platinumcars Arena on Saturday afternoon. Despite the stadium being empty due to the pandemic, the players showcased fantastic football in a match officiated by referee Josef Eissa and his assistant referees Senad Redzematovic and Ali Khan Ahmadi.
It was IFK Norrköping FK who started the strongest, and it didn’t take long for them to find the net. In the 11th minute, Mathilda Holmberg scored 1-0 for the home team with a fantastic finish after receiving a nice pass from a teammate. An early goal that gave IFK Norrköping FK confidence for the remainder of the match.
IFK Norrköping continued to dominate the game and created several dangerous chances. In the 29th minute, Filippa Sjöberg scored a beautiful goal from a corner kick, increasing the lead to 2-0 for the home team. After the second goal, IK Tun tried to get back into the match, but they failed to create any truly dangerous chances, despite making several substitutions during the game.
IFK Norrköping FK controlled the match and made a couple of substitutions to maintain the tempo. In the 61st minute, Molly Wiklander was substituted for Ida Andersson, and shortly after, Alma Ekberg was replaced by Grace Wallin. The new players continued to create chances, but the score remained 2-0.
IK Tun also made a few substitutions during the game, but it did not help. In the 82nd minute, Alma Sjödahl was substituted for Filippa Karlberg at IFK Norrköping FK, but no further goals were scored, and the result stayed at 2-0 for the home team.
IFK Norrköping FK won the match fairly with a score of 2-0, and the players celebrated their important victory after the final whistle. Even though the audience was not there to witness the match, it was a fantastic display of football as both teams demonstrated a high level of play.
