Last Saturday afternoon, P18 IK played against Sätra SK in an exciting soccer match at Gutavallen. Despite the relatively low attendance of 75 people, the atmosphere was vibrant ahead of this Division 1 Södra Svealand match for women.
P18 IK, who were in 4th place in the standings before the match, faced a Sätra SK team that was second to last. Expectations were high as P18 IK had the chance to earn points and move up the table.
The match began, and it didn't take long for P18 IK to take the lead. Already in the 20th minute, the home team scored their first goal. The goal scorer was number 13, Pauline Mårtensson, who sent the ball into the net and gave P18 IK an early lead of 1-0.
Sätra SK tried to fight their way back into the match and made a substitution in the 62nd minute. Number 8, Grace Cespedes, left the pitch and was replaced by Isabella Siljeholm in hopes of boosting the attack.
P18 IK responded with a substitution in the 65th minute. Agnes Nilsson left the pitch, and Nike Hansson came on. The home team seemed eager to further strengthen their offense and also brought in Camilla Ronström instead of Marta Vidal Vela in the 66th minute.
Sätra SK also made a substitution at the same time. Number 6, Melissa Juliette Villa Ruiz, left the pitch, and Elin Hagman came on to give the team a spark.
It wasn't long before P18 IK managed to find the net again. In the 73rd minute, the home team scored their second goal, with Nike Hansson getting her name on the scoresheet once again. With an impressive lead of 2-0, P18 IK now had control over the match.
P18 IK made another substitution in the 76th minute. Julia Farinder was replaced by Frida Starkenberg to maintain the pace and intensity in the team.
As the match neared its end, P18 IK opted for two more substitutions. Emma Ahlqvist and Tëa Gråberg came on for Minna Lindgren and Maria Sanchez Hali in the 89th and 90th minutes, respectively.
When the referee blew the final whistle, the score was 2-0 in favor of P18 IK. The home team had controlled the game and scored goals in both the first and second halves.
