Even though Vänersborgs FK tried to get back into the match with a substitution and some late yellow cards, they were unable to find another equalizer. Skövde AIK held firm and secured three important points in their pursuit of a top position in the table.

Referee Daniel Särén maintained control, and the match offered excitement right up to the final minutes. Skövde AIK showed character by turning a deficit into victory against league leaders Vänersborgs FK.
