On a sunny Saturday afternoon at Lunnevi IP in Vänersborg, IK Gauthiod faced Lerums IS in a catch-up match in Division 2 Norra Götaland. With an audience of 260 people present, both teams started nervously and with great respect for one another.

It was Lerums IS that took the lead in the 17th minute through Imran Khamidov. After the goal, IK Gauthiod attempted to push forward but struggled to create any clear chances.

At halftime, the score remained 0-1 in favor of Lerums IS, but the coach of IK Gauthiod decided to make a tactical change, substituting Mohamed Abdu for Mårten Jäsklid.

Lerums IS tried to respond and made a substitution in the 79th minute, with Noah Säll-Magnusson replacing Adam Segerdahl. IK Gauthiod also made a substitution in the 81st minute, bringing on Marko Nikic for Jonatan Nilsson.

Lerums IS pushed for an equalizer, but time was running out, and in the 90th minute, Noah Säll-Magnusson received a yellow card for attempting to tackle an opponent.

The match ended 2-1 in favor of IK Gauthiod, who secured three important points in this catch-up match at the end of the season. Referee Daniel Särén had a good match and kept the game under control along with assistant referees Anders Orlinder and Peter Jaeger.
