On a sunny Saturday afternoon, IK Gauthiod faced IFK Uddevalla at Lunnevi IP's A-field in front of a sparsely populated stand. Referee Alban Mustafa blew the whistle to start the match, and it was the home team that took control from the outset.
Already in the 24th minute, IK Gauthiod took the lead through Wiktor Wersén, who headed the ball in after a corner kick. Just eight minutes later, Valon Gashi extended the lead to 2-0 with a penalty that he confidently scored.
Before halftime, we also saw a substitution for the home team, with Rasmus Arvidsson replacing Jonatan Nilsson. Rickard Nilsson also received a yellow card before the break.
At halftime, IK Gauthiod made another substitution, bringing Vilson Nikola on for Jacob Berg. However, it was IFK Uddevalla that reduced the deficit in the 59th minute through Lucas Hallberg Wotango, who scored from a free kick.
The match continued with several yellow cards, including for Mohamed Abdu and Vilson Nikola. Both teams made multiple substitutions during the second half, and the pace remained high until the final whistle.
Despite an intense finish to the match, IFK Uddevalla could not catch up, and the match ended 2-1 in favor of IK Gauthiod. The final result meant that the home team earned three much-needed points while the visiting IFK Uddevalla left the field with a painful defeat.
