Vårgårda IK surprises league leaders Stenungsunds IF by winning 2-0 at home in front of a sparse crowd of 59 people at Tånga Hed Pua Arena A on Friday evening. Before the match, Vårgårda IK was in ninth place in the table while Stenungsunds IF was at the top.

The match started quite cautiously, and it wasn't until the 20th minute that the first warning was issued. This was given to Vårgårda IK’s Jahid Jawid. After just over half an hour, Vårgårda's Hassan Najafi scored from a free kick, giving Vårgårda IK a 1-0 lead. Stenungsunds IF’s Gustav Kjellström was substituted after 50 minutes, but this did not seem to have any effect on the game. Instead, Stenungsunds IF received two warnings within a span of just under 10 minutes, and despite their continued attempts, they were unable to score any goals. Vårgårda IK made a substitution in the 75th minute, and two minutes later, Stenungsunds IF’s Franko Skugor received a warning. At the end of the match, in stoppage time, Vårgårda IK managed to score their second goal through Ahmed Baker, securing the victory with a score of 2-0.
