It was a packed arena at Lunnevi IP as IK Gauthiod hosted IFK Åmål in a match that would turn out to be a real goal fest. The match began with IFK Åmål taking the lead just 13 minutes in when Obed NII Dodoo Saki scored, marking his second goal of the season. However, IK Gauthiod quickly equalized through Emil Svensson, who scored his first goal of the season just two minutes later.
Gauthiod then took control of the match, with Jacob Berg and then Jonatan Nilsson scoring, and within just over half an hour of play, the home team had established a two-goal lead. Additionally, IFK Åmål's Saki received a warning for a tough tackle.
Just before halftime, Gauthiod’s Berg added his second and the team's fourth goal of the match after capitalizing on a nice back pass by an Åmål player.
The second half was not as eventful, but Gauthiod made two substitutions while Åmål replaced two players as well. Gauthiod's Leo Persson made his entrance into the match, replacing Kristijan Nikolla.
IFK Åmål reduced the deficit with just eleven minutes remaining when Alexander Hagelberg scored a nice header following a well-taken corner in Gauthiod's penalty area. However, it was too late to threaten Gauthiod further, and the match ended with a 4-2 victory for the home team.
After the match, Gauthiod remained in 4th place in the table while Åmål sat in 12th place. The referee for the match was Daniel Särén, with Agron Dinaj and Joakim Blomqvist serving as assistant referees.
