The long-awaited match between Stenungsunds IF and Vänersborgs FK in Division 2 Norra Götaland, men's league, was held at Nösnäsvallen in front of a completely empty stadium on Saturday afternoon, with referee Fredrik Alknäs officiating, assisted by Rasmus Jendmyr and Ali Jassim. The match was eventful, ending in a 3-3 draw.
The match began with a quick goal from Stenungsund, thanks to Tobias Mikaelsson, who scored his first goal in the eleventh minute. Vänersborgs FK had a chance to equalize with a penalty in the final minute of the match, and Peter Mandic managed to put the ball in the net, making it 3-3. Mohamed Abdu from Vänersborgs FK received a warning in the closing stages of the match and was then also sent off along with Abdikarim Dahir Mohamed.
The match between Stenungsunds IF and Vänersborgs FK was a dramatic affair that ended with a point for each team. Both teams demonstrated solid defensive qualities, but it was their offensive efforts that made the match a goal-rich experience.
