IFK Tidaholm hosted IF Karlstad Football Development at the Tidavallen A pitch in an exciting match in Division 2 Northern Götaland on Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately, no fans were able to watch the match live as it was not permitted due to the pandemic. Referee Mattias Hedman Lilja officiated, assisted by linesmen Philipp Dages and Michael Kostrzewa.
It was early in the match that IF Karlstad Football Development took the lead through a penalty goal scored by Joel Gustavsson in the fifth minute. IFK Tidaholm responded quickly and equalized thanks to Edin Salihovic in the sixteenth minute.
IFK Tidaholm struggled to avoid receiving yellow cards. Filip Garmenius was cautioned in the fifth minute, Simon Gustavsson in the thirty-sixth, and Edin Salihovic at the beginning of the second half.
IFK Tidaholm made three substitutions during the match. Jonatan Larsson came on in the fortieth minute for Filip Garmenius. Fisnik Menxhiqi was substituted in for Adam Öksüz in the fifty-sixth minute, and Victor Luis Larsson replaced Oliver Andersén while Daniel Joelsson took the place of Edin Salihovic in the seventy-fourth minute.
IF Karlstad Football Development also made two substitutions. Vilgot Falknäs came on for Filip Johansson Bahar in the seventy-fourth minute. Chedi Fatnassi replaced Adrian Johansson in the seventy-ninth minute.
It seemed that the match would end in a draw until Jonathan Gullö scored a late match-winning goal for IF Karlstad Football Development in added time in the ninety-third minute. Mohammed Qassem received a yellow card later in stoppage time.
The match ended 1-2 in favor of IF Karlstad Football Development. IFK Tidaholm will have to try again in their next match.
