It was a sunny afternoon at Moabvallen when Yxhults IK took on IK Gauthiod in Division 2 Norra Götaland. An exciting match awaited in front of the small crowd of 87 people.

The match started intensely and it was clear from the start that both teams were set to win. Despite several dangerous chances from both teams, it was IK Gauthiod who first managed to find the net. After 14 minutes of play, Carl Lext struck and scored the opening goal for the away team.

The intensity of the match continued and a few minutes later IK Gauthiod got a penalty that Carl Lext safely managed and put 0-2 for the guests. Oscar Norlin then increased the lead for IK Gauthiod to 0-3 before Kristoffer Näfver in Yxhults IK drew a warning.

At halftime, Yxhults IK made three changes to try to turn the match. The second half started promisingly for the home team who created some dangerous chances, but it was instead IK Gauthiod who scored the next goal. Alkeo Qeraj sent the ball in and made it 0-4.

Yxhults IK continued to fight and got a penalty in the 72nd minute that Jens Grønneberg Johansen scored. After the goal, IK Gauthiod made two changes and Yxhults IK one, but it was Yxhults IK who again would get the ball into the goal. Johansen scored his second goal of the day in the 78th minute and it was now 2-4.

Yxhults IK continued to press the guests but did not manage to get more goals. Instead, it was IK Gauthiod who scored the last goal of the match, when Carl Lext completed his hat trick and set the final score to 2-5. A well-deserved victory for IK Gauthiod who showed good fighting spirit and efficiency in their attacking game.
