In front of an enthusiastic crowd at IVAB Arena, Infjärdens SK and Assi IF took to the field for an exciting match in Division 2 Norra Norrland, women’s.
Infjärdens SK started strongly and took the lead in the 43rd minute when Karin Alatalo managed to put the ball in the net. The team continued to apply pressure, and early in the second half, they doubled their lead through Linn Lundström, who scored from a penalty.
However, Assi IF did not give up, and in the 60th minute, Emelie Helmvall reduced the score to 2-1. Infjärdens SK responded quickly, and in the 75th minute, Katarina Carlsson increased the lead to 3-1.
Assi IF continued to fight back and reduced the deficit again in the 81st minute through Caroline Karlsson, but they couldn't get another ball past Infjärdens SK's goalkeeper.
When the referee blew the final whistle, it was clear that Infjärdens SK had won 3-2 against league leaders Assi IF. An impressive victory for Infjärdens SK, who continue to climb the table.
