Hudiksvalls Förenade FF hosted Kungsängens IF at Glysis Sparbanken Arena on Saturday afternoon. HUDFF was in 2nd place in the table, while KIF was second to last, making it expected that the home team would secure the victory. The first goal of the match came just 9 minutes in, when Cihan Sener scored a confident penalty for HUDFF. Kion King followed suit and extended the home team’s lead to 2-0 after a quarter of an hour had been played. HUDFF continued to dominate the game, and Sener scored his second goal of the day, which was the third for the home team, in the 31st minute.
In the second half, KIF hoped to turn the match around, bringing in Asokolo Simba in place of Jonathan Gillberg. Nicholas Hillgren scored KIF's first goal, reducing the deficit to 3-1 after an hour of play. But just a few minutes later, Kion King netted his second goal of the day, increasing the lead to 4-1. KIF did not give up, and Augustin Muyenga directed a ball into the opponents' goal, again reducing the score to 4-2 in the 76th minute. KIF's Alan Naib received a yellow card in the 78th minute, and KIF's Andreas Hagman received his card just a few minutes later. HUDFF's Abdulmannan Khalil also received a yellow card in the 87th minute.
The match was decided by penalties, and Alan Naib from KIF converted his penalty after 97 minutes, despite Per Lööf from HUDFF receiving a yellow card just a few minutes earlier. Despite an impressive comeback from KIF, they had to settle for an honorable defeat of 4-3. HUDFF maintained its 2nd place in the table after the match, while KIF remained second to last.
