Piteå IF took an early lead in the match against Morön BK at Skogsvallen. Erik Sundström scored a goal just five minutes into the game, and Rasmus Holmbom then increased the lead to 2-0 after 15 minutes. Morön BK struggled to find their rhythm and tried to play their way into the match, but had difficulty creating dangerous opportunities.
In the second half, Morön BK made two substitutions to try and regain control of the game, which paid off. Tomas Markström reduced the deficit to 1-2 in the 57th minute, giving the team hope for a potential equalizer. However, when Isak Pettersson was sent off in the 82nd minute, it became even harder for Morön BK to turn the match in their favor.
