Sandviks IK took the lead early in the match when Andreas Ljung headed in the opening goal, which caused the home fans at Sandviks IP to explode with joy. Skellefteå FF received several warnings during the first half but managed to equalize through William Hoare in the 51st minute. Hoare continued to play strongly and scored the second goal for Skellefteå in the 59th minute with a fine finish.

Sandviks tried to regain control of the match and brought in new players to try to turn things around, but instead conceded an own goal in the 82nd minute, giving Skellefteå an even bigger lead. Tim Lindfors then added to Skellefteå's scoring tally with his fourth goal of the season, leading to a 4-2 victory for Skellefteå. Sandviks will now have to continue fighting to climb up the table while Skellefteå continues its pursuit of the league lead. Overall, it was an intense match with good play from both sides, demonstrating why Division 2 Norrland is an exciting football division.
