Piteå IF FF dominated from start to finish in Sunday’s match against IFK Timrå at Timrå IP’s artificial turf. Already in the 23rd minute, Gustav Rönnbäck Wallin opened the scoring for the away team, and later in the half, Justice Tetteh Komey and Gustav Nordh increased the lead to 3-0 with a goal from a free kick. Johan Hedström headed in the fourth goal just minutes later, making it difficult for the home team to recover.
Ridwan Beyan received a yellow card and was later substituted by Jimmie Gustafsson in an attempt to change IFK Timrå's game. Osman Aksoy also came on in place of Carl Winsten to give the team an extra push forward.
However, Piteå IF FF did not take their foot off the gas, and Gustav Nordh scored his second goal of the day, bringing the score to 5-0. Axel Näsholm reduced the deficit for the home team in the 66th minute, and Oskar Nordlund added another consolation goal for IFK Timrå in the 70th minute. Gloire Kabundu and Andreá Kimpala were substituted in for the guests, while Johannes Lidström received a yellow card and was also substituted.
Despite the two late goals, IFK Timrå could not turn the match around, and the final score was 5-2 in favor of Piteå IF FF. With the victory, Piteå IF FF solidifies its fifth place in the standings, while IFK Timrå remains in ninth place.
