It was a sunny Saturday afternoon at Umeå Energi Arena SOL when Umeå FC Academy welcomed Notvikens IK in an exciting match in Division 2 Norrland. The audience, consisting of 50 loyal supporters, witnessed a high-scoring and eventful game where both teams showcased their best soccer skills.
Already in the 7th minute, Filip Wennberg received a yellow card for Notvikens IK after a tough tackle. Shortly thereafter, Albin Näslund had the chance to give Umeå FC Academy the lead from the penalty spot, but his shot was saved by the opposing goalkeeper.
In the 15th minute, Umeå FC Academy took the lead with David Ekman, who netted the ball to make it 1-0. With beautiful passing and good teamwork, the team managed to extend their lead to 2-0 through Yoel Embaye in the 38th minute.
In the second half, Umeå FC Academy continued to dominate, and Embaye scored his second goal of the day in the 58th minute. Despite a couple of substitutions from Notvikens IK, Albin Näslund made it 4-0 for the home team in the 70th minute.
But Notvikens did not give up and managed to reduce the deficit with Magnus Johansson scoring both 4-1 and 4-2 with headed goals in the 78th and 83rd minutes. Joel Carlsson then increased Umeå FC Academy's lead to 5-2 in the 88th minute.
Magnus Johansson continued to display his scoring abilities for Notvikens by completing a hat-trick with goals in both the 90+1st and 90+3rd minutes, giving the team hope for a comeback. However, despite Notvikens pushing for an equalizer, Umeå FC Academy held their ground and secured the victory with a final score of 5-4 after an exciting match.
Referee Magnus Wiklund blew the whistle to end the match, and Umeå FC Academy could celebrate a well-deserved victory in front of their home fans at Umeå Energi Arena SOL.
