Bodens BK FF got off to a real dream start in Thursday evening’s match against Kiruna FF at home at Bodens Energi Arena. Just five minutes into the game, the team's Sargal Amine Hejai scored to make it 1-0 after a quick attack.
Kiruna tried to respond but struggled to get close to Boden’s goal during the first half. Instead, the home team was able to increase their lead in the 29th minute when Emil Johansson easily redirected a rebound from Kiruna’s goalkeeper.
However, Kiruna was not left goalless for long and managed to reduce the score to 2-1 in the 35th minute through Ebenezer Appiah.
Despite several attempts from Kiruna to equalize, Boden held firm and even managed to extend their lead in the 62nd minute. Steve Zishim Bawa jumped highest and headed in to make it 3-1 after a corner.
Boden didn’t want to stop there, and in the 73rd minute, Emmanuel Swedi scored from a nice pass from Hejai, increasing the lead to 4-1.
The match got a bit chaotic after that, as Boden’s Hampus Myske received his second yellow card, resulting in a red card in the fourth minute of stoppage time. Kiruna also received another warning, and the match ended 4-1 in favor of Bodens BK FF in front of a crowd of 303 people.
Referee Oskar Nilsson, along with assistant referees Peter Lundström and Axel Wernqvist, maintained control throughout the match and managed several situations. Kiruna's coach Hasse Stridsman received a warning in the 24th minute for protests.
