It was an exciting match between Lindsdals IF and Mariebo IK at Fjölebro IP on Saturday afternoon. The crowd was small, with only 43 people in the stands, but those who were there saw an entertaining game.
Mariebo IK took the lead after just 10 minutes of play through Charlotte Nordberg, but Lindsdals IF quickly equalized with a goal from Anna Karlsson in the 26th minute. Just before halftime, the home team took the lead with a goal from Åsa Nylander and was up 3-1 when the referee blew for halftime.
In the second half, Mariebo IK reduced the deficit to 3-2 through Helena Olsson, but Lindsdals IF kept their cool and were able to extend their lead again with a goal from Madeleine Sjödahl in the 59th minute. Mariebo IK tried to come back but failed to create any more goal-scoring opportunities, and the match ended 4-2 in favor of Lindsdals IF.
The match was characterized by some tough duels, and the referee had to issue a couple of cautions, including to Emma Landin Hellqvist and Charlotte Nordberg from Mariebo IK, as well as to Sofie Waller from Lindsdals IF.
A well-deserved victory for Lindsdals IF, who showcased a strong team effort and efficiency in front of goal. Mariebo IK played well but had difficulty finding the net enough times to seriously threaten the home team.
