The match between Vimmerby IF and Lindsdals IF at Vimarvallen provided exciting football and many goal chances despite the wet pitch.
It was the visiting team Lindsdals IF that took the lead with 1-0 in the 44th minute when Josephine Larsson found the back of the net. Shortly after halftime, it was time for Lindsdals again as Alexsandra Larsson extended the lead to 2-0 in the 54th minute.
However, Vimmerby IF did not give up and managed to reduce the deficit to 2-1 in the 57th minute when Sofie Persson scored a penalty kick after a handball by Lindsdals IF.
Unfortunately for the home team, this did not hold, and Lindsdals IF instead increased their lead to 3-1 in the 74th minute when Emma Sjöstedt found the net.
The match was also marked by a few warnings, with one given to Madeleine Sjödahl from Lindsdals IF and another to Ida Johansson, who also played for the visiting team.
When the final whistle blew, it was clear that Lindsdals IF won the match 3-1, taking home three important points to Karlshamn. Vimmerby IF, on the other hand, will have to continue fighting to climb the table.
