Oskarshamn AIK had a strong grip on the match from the start and took the lead after just 11 minutes of play. It was Fredrick Roskvist who scored after a nice pass from Kreshnik Avdyli. Karlskrona AIF tried to equalize but had difficulty creating dangerous goal-scoring opportunities against a solid Oskarshamn defense. Instead, Oskarshamn AIK extended their lead in the 52nd minute through Kreshnik Avdyli, who tapped in a rebound after a save from the Karlskrona goalkeeper.

Karlskrona AIF substituted Johan Dahl Nilsson at halftime and attempted to force their way back into the game. However, it didn't help, and instead, Oskarshamn AIK substituted Isaac Blixt and adopted a more defensive tactic.
