IFK Hässleholm managed to withstand a hungry Räppe GOIF in a thrilling soccer match that ended 3-2 at Österås IP A-plan in Division 2 Östra Götaland. In front of a crowd of 314, it was the visiting team that started strongest and took the lead after eleven minutes through Andréas Birgersson. This was followed by a period of intense play, and several warnings were issued, including one to Eric Hörnell of the home team.
At the beginning of the second half, Räppe continued to dominate and Pontus Norrlin extended their lead to 2-0. However, IFK Hässleholm did not give up and reduced the deficit through Michael Ayebaifie Andrew after 65 minutes. Two minutes later, Gustaf Lindroth got the ball into the net, and suddenly the match was tied.
IFK Hässleholm's coach chose to make a substitution after the goal, bringing in Waed Mohammed Ali Shaif instead of the goal scorer Ayebaifie Andrew. This move proved to work perfectly as Karim Al-Asi was given the chance to score from a penalty, putting the home team ahead with just a few minutes left in the match. IFK Hässleholm's defense then held strong, and the match ended 3-2 in favor of the home team. Isak Olsson received a warning late in the match, but it did not affect the outcome.
