IFK Nyköping hosted Dalhem IF at Folkungavallen in an exciting match in Division 2 Östra Svealand for women. The match started intensely with several goals scored in the first few minutes. Amanda Nordlie opened the scoring for IFK Nyköping in the fourth minute, followed by Therése Andersson's goal just six minutes later.
Dalhem IF had a tough start to the match with an early warning for Helena Nirs, but Jenny Löf managed to reduce the deficit in the 22nd minute. Karoline Pettersson and My Zetterquist Helger then extended the lead for IFK Nyköping, going into halftime with a commanding 5-1 lead.
In the second half, Dalhem IF displayed impressive fighting spirit and started a strong comeback. Fia-Lotta Axelsson Pipping scored in the 41st minute, and Helena Adman and Axelsson Pipping netted two more goals for Dalhem IF. Despite an intense pursuit of an equalizer from Dalhem IF, the team could not get the final ball into the net, and the match ended 5-4 in favor of IFK Nyköping.
The spectators at Folkungavallen certainly got their money's worth with nine goals and an exciting match right up to the final whistle. Emir Bijelonja had his hands full as the referee but maintained order in the game along with assistant referees Karzan Nawroli and Abit Jusufi. A big congratulations to IFK Nyköping for the victory and kudos to Dalhem IF for an impressive comeback in the second half.
