Tyresö DFF made history on Monday evening when they defeated Älvsjö AIK FF 5-3 at Älvsjö IP 1. In front of an audience of 54 people, Tyresö secured a convincing victory after leading 3-0 at halftime.
Helen Nottebrock started the scoring for the away team after 15 minutes, and just four minutes later, Sara Ahlbom extended the lead to 2-0. Sofie Persson then made it 3-0 just before the halftime break.
After the break, Älvsjö showed a bit more initiative and reduced the deficit through Katarina Bäckman Hed after 58 minutes. Two minutes later, Tyresö scored an own goal, and Älvsjö was suddenly back in the match. Sanna Norlander equalized to 3-3 after 73 minutes, and it looked like the game would end in a draw.
But Tyresö had other plans, and in the 83rd minute, Ahlbom scored her second goal of the evening to give the away team the lead. Nottebrock then sealed the final score at 5-3 during stoppage time.
Referee Claes Malmekrans had a good match, and together with assistant referees Slobodan Pajovic and Stefan Axelsson, they maintained order on the field effectively.
With the victory, Tyresö DFF claims their second consecutive win and climbs to third place in the table, while Älvsjö AIK FF continues to struggle at the bottom of the standings.
