At Klostergårdens IP it was clear that this would be a tough match between Lunds BK and Furulunds IK in Division 2 Södra Götaland. A match that would be a real show from one team.
The match started with a high tempo and it was Furulunds IK who opened the scoring. Already after seven minutes into the match, Emma Larsson made 0-1 for the guests. But it would not take long before Lunds BK caught up with the match and equalized immediately. Eleni Karavas scored the goal that made it 1-1 after thirteen minutes played.
But Furulund clearly showed why they were strong favorites for the match. After ninety minutes of play, they had scored six more goals against a Lunds BK that did not really get the game today. Isabelle Henriksson, Amanda Willas with two goals, Emma Larsson, Maja Pettersson and Lina Berglund accounted for the goals that made the final score 1-7 to Furulunds IK.
It was a tough loss for Lunds BK who today did not really manage to get the game. Furulund, on the other hand, played fantastic and proved that they belong at the top of the table. With this win, they climb to a nice fifth place and can proudly look back on a well-executed match. A match that will also give them confidence for the upcoming matches in the series.
The match ended without an audience due to the current situation in the community, but the players showed that it does not have to reduce the entertainment value on the pitch. It was a really good meeting between two good women's teams and Furulund showed that today they were clearly the stronger team.
