Last Sunday, Vellinge IF and Lörby IF faced off in Division 2 Södra Götaland for women. The match took place at Vellinge IP A-plan in front of an audience of 40 people. The referee for the match was Elvid Imsirovic, with Christer Sandgren and Tex Bjerelius serving as assistant referees.
In just the third minute, Vellinge IF took the lead when number 17, Elin Engbe, scored, and the atmosphere was high at home. But Vellinge was not done yet, and in the 86th minute, Jessika Mårtensson scored the goal that brought the final score to 8-1 in favor of the home team.
It was a match where Vellinge IF dominated and showed why they are top-class in Division 2 for women. Lörby IF didn't give up despite the difficulties, but Vellinge IF was the better team on this day and could win by a significant margin in goals.
