The sun shone over Bergavik IP 2 as the home team IFK Berga hosted FK Karlskrona in the final match of the season. Even though there were no spectators present, the teams were pumped and ready for an exciting game.
Referee Johan Sandström blew the whistle to start the match at 14:00, and both teams had a few half-chances until the 26th minute when the home team's Michael Gonzalo received a yellow card after a tough tackle.
In the 35th minute, we saw the first goal of the match, and unfortunately, it was an own goal from IFK Berga that gave FK Karlskrona the lead. An unfortunate moment for the home team, who now found it tough to get back into the game.
Just a minute later, the next goal came, and this time it was FK Karlskrona who scored. Adam Larsson deflected the ball into the net after a corner, giving his team an insurmountable lead at 0-2.
IFK Berga's William Stjernberg received a yellow card just before halftime, and the home team really needed to find their way back into the match if they were to have any chance of turning it around.
The second half continued at the same pace as the first, and Oskar Dahlström from IFK Berga received a yellow card in the 47th minute. Both teams fought to score more goals, but no additional goals were scored in the match.
IFK Berga tried to make a final effort by making three substitutions at once in the 63rd minute, but it didn’t help as FK Karlskrona held firm and won the match 0-2.
The match concluded with a yellow card for FK Karlskrona's Olle Magnusson in the 88th minute, but by then the game was already decided. IFK Berga will now need to regroup for next season while FK Karlskrona can celebrate a good finish to the year.
