It was a sunny Saturday afternoon at Selånger IP Grus when Selånger FK faced Ope IF in Division 2 Södra Norrland for women. In front of an audience of 55 people, the home team took control of the match from the start.
Already after four minutes, Selånger took the lead through Sandra Sandberg, who put the ball in the net and sent the home crowd into ecstasy. It didn't take long before Sandberg found the net again, this time in the 36th minute, increasing the lead to 2-0 before halftime.
In the second half, it was once again Selånger that showed strength. Just one minute into the second half, Lina Candell made it 3-0, extending the home team's lead. Candell was also involved in the fourth goal, almost perfectly shooting in to make it 4-0 in the 55th minute.
Selånger had full control of the match, and Ope struggled to catch up. In the 75th minute, Malin Kristmansson received a yellow card for the home team, while Åse Perman from Ope also found herself in the referee's book in the 79th minute.
When the referee blew the final whistle in the 90th minute, it was clear - Selånger FK had won with a convincing 4-0 and secured a dominant victory in front of their fans at home. A strong performance from Selånger that showed they are a team to be reckoned with in Division 2 Södra Norrland.
