On Saturday afternoon, it was time for a match between Frösö IF and Sund IF at Tallvallen 1. In front of a crowd of 87 people and under the direction of referee Peter Korhonen and his assistants Mikael Nord and Alf Levin, the match in Division 2 Södra Norrland for women got underway. Before the match, both teams were in the middle of the table, in 7th and 8th place.
The match was evenly contested from the start, with both teams having their chances. After a quarter of an hour, Frösö IF pressed hard and managed to take the lead thanks to a mistake by goalkeeper Katarina Kjellin, who set the ball over Sund IF’s goalkeeper to make it 1-0.
Sund IF continued to fight and had several dangerous chances. In the 67th minute, the equalizer came when Anna Svärdsudd received the ball and shot it into the goal, hitting the inside of the post to make it 1-1.
The rest of the match was intense with several chances for both teams, but neither side could secure a victory, and the match ended 1-1. A result that perhaps feels fair considering the play.
After the match, Frösö IF remains in eighth place in the table while Sund IF continues in seventh place.
