It was a sunny Saturday afternoon at Tunavallen when Eskilstuna City FK hosted FC Gute in Division 2 Södra Svealand. In front of a crowd of 314, the home team took control right from the start.
Just one minute into the match, Eskilstuna took the lead through Adnan Cirak, and they continued to dominate the game. Dan Wikström extended the lead to 2-0 after 15 minutes, before Filip Rogic made it 3-0 just two minutes later.
FC Gute encountered some problems, and Jimmie Engqvist received a yellow card in the 22nd minute. Eskilstuna continued to create chances and press forward, while FC Gute tried to find their way back into the match.
In the second half, Eskilstuna made a few substitutions to maintain the pressure. FC Gute attempted to get back into the game with a substitution and a yellow card for Kevin Almlöf Wickman, but it was Victor Sundberg who put the final nail in the coffin with his goal for 4-0 in the 81st minute.
After the goal, both teams made a couple more substitutions, but it was Eskilstuna City FK who held on and secured a convincing 4-0 victory. With this win, they maintained their position at the top of the table, while FC Gute will continue to struggle in the middle of the table.
