Ekerö IK won the away match against Smedby AIS with a score of 2-1 after an exciting game at Smedby IP. It was a tough match with some hard tackles, and referee Woriya Dodkanlou had to issue a couple of yellow cards during the game.
It was at the end of the first half that the first warning of the match was given to Smedby’s team captain. Ekerö IK also received a yellow card early in the second half. Just a few minutes later, Ekerö IK scored through Simon Norelius, who took advantage of a nice pass and sent the ball past Smedby’s goalkeeper.
After this goal, an intense attacking play started from Smedby AIS, but Ekerö's defense held firm and avoided several dangerous situations. Instead, it was Ekerö IK who remained effective going forward – in the 65th minute, Nebiyu Tesema scored to make it 2-0 after a quick counter-attack.
Smedby AIS desperately tried to catch up in the match and made two quick substitutions in an attempt to score before it was too late. However, it was only in the final minute of the match that Thomas Lindh managed to reduce the score to 1-2, making the ending of the match really exciting.
A couple of warnings were issued to the away team in the heated conclusion, but in the end, the victory was secured for Ekerö IK. Despite a strong effort from the home team, they could not reclaim lost ground, and Ekerö IK took home three points.
