Örebro Syrianska IF - FC Linköping City (0 - 1)
Match in Division 2 Södra Svealand, men 2017
Match start: 2017-07-29 at 16:00
Venue: Örnsro IP

On Saturday afternoon, Örebro Syrianska IF hosted FC Linköping City at home at Örnsro IP. It was a match that both teams truly wanted to win and would demonstrate why FC Linköping City is in second place in the table. Without an audience and with Henrik Matsson as the main referee, the teams went onto the field with high intensity and many tactical plays.

The match seemed likely to end in a goalless draw for a long time. Both teams played aggressively, and after 50 minutes, two players had already received yellow cards: Ilir Terbunja for FC Linköping City and Michael Brady Stewart for Örebro Syrianska IF. However, in the 60th minute, FC Linköping City broke the deadlock when Felipe Reidler De Moraes scored a goal that would prove decisive.

Örebro Syrianska IF substituted Kevin Larsson Helge in the 60th minute for Gabriel Gabrielsson in an attempt to equalize. But it was not meant to be a closely contested match as FC Linköping City continued to play aggressively and tactically. Ilir Terbunja was substituted in the 63rd minute in favor of Dinko Felic, who came on and made a solid contribution. Örebro Syrianska IF chose to replace Miran Abdulrahman Mohammad with Anel Coralic in the 75th minute and then substituted Martin Alp for Zana Can in the 80th minute in hopes of finding an equalizer.

Despite several efforts from both teams, no further goals were scored. FC Linköping City secured a much-needed victory and advanced in the table, while Örebro Syrianska IF continues to struggle in the middle of Division 2 Södra Svealand.
