A relatively even match began at Värmdövallen 2 when Värmdö IF faced Värmbols FC in Division 2 Södra Svealand. The first half was rather uneventful, and the big talking point was instead the substitution for the home team when Nikola Radulovic replaced Philip Gustafsson after 33 minutes of play. Just a few minutes later, Värmbols FC created a dangerous scoring chance and managed to get on the scoreboard after 40 minutes through Alexander Karlsson, which also became the halftime score.
At halftime, Värmdö IF substituted Jonas Desai for Nicholas Netteryd, which turned out to be a successful move as Netteryd equalized to 1-1 in the 53rd minute. But the joy was short-lived as Värmbols FC responded immediately with a goal from Patryk Brzeski.
Both teams, however, did not tire, and the pace remained high. Substitutions were made again, with Värmbols FC taking out Emil Olsson in favor of Simon Eklöf. Värmdö IF responded by substituting Gordon Jordell for Maximilian Llobera Janglin. But it was not until Janglin entered the match that the home team really began to trouble the guests. In the 78th minute, Janglin equalized to 2-2, and Värmdö IF pressed on for another goal.
Värmbols FC attempted to create scoring chances in the final minutes, but Anton Blomgren, who had come on for Alexander Karlsson, could not prevent the match from ending in a draw at 2-2. Referee Johan Kjellin and his assistant referees Daniel Tekeste and Michael Torres oversaw a fair match under calm conditions, with an audience of 45 people.
