IF Sylvia secured an important victory when they faced Eskilstuna City FK in Division 2 Södra Svealand at Platinumcars Arena on Saturday afternoon. It was a tough match where both teams did their utmost to win.

IF Sylvia was the first to get on the scoresheet when Hampus Lönn scored his first goal of the day after 15 minutes. However, Eskilstuna City FK quickly responded with an equalizer from Oumar Traore just two minutes later. They then took the lead 2-1 with a goal from Justin Salmon in the 25th minute.

Eskilstuna City FK's attacking momentum was somewhat interrupted when John Nyaks Momoh and Hampus Jakobsson both received yellow cards. IF Sylvia took advantage of the situation, and Felix Bengtsson received a yellow card in the 40th minute.

IF Sylvia was awarded a penalty at the end of the first half when Daniel Andersson was fouled in the penalty area. He quickly took the chance and scored the equalizer at 2-2. Soon after, he scored his second goal in just one minute, giving IF Sylvia the lead.

Early in the second half, Carl Björk scored IF Sylvia's fourth goal after a nice combination with Rasmus Bengtsson. Eskilstuna City FK wouldn’t give up, however, and responded with a goal from Justin Salmon.

But IF Sylvia finished the match strongly with another goal from Daniel Andersson, marking his third of the day. He was then substituted to receive the well-deserved applause from the spectators.

Eskilstuna City FK tried to get back into the match, but it ended in a defeat for them. IF Sylvia now has a comfortable lead at the top of the table, while Eskilstuna City FK remains in eleventh place. Referee Barech Afzal Khan did a great job keeping the match under control alongside his assistant referees Niklas Franzén and Robin Milosevic.
