Huddinge IF concluded Saturday afternoon with a well-deserved victory at Tunavallen. It was an evenly matched game from start to finish, but the guests proved to be more effective in front of goal, winning 2-0.
Just four minutes into the match, IFK Eskilstuna's Carl Wärme received a warning for a hard tackle attempt. However, despite intense play from both teams, it wasn't until the 43rd minute that the first goal was scored. Huddinge's Ousmane Diawara struck and put the ball past the home goalkeeper.
At halftime, Huddinge's Gabriel Diaz was substituted for Jesper Jonsson, who made a strong impact upon entering. IFK Eskilstuna responded with two substitutions in the 61st minute, as Hugo Östlund Rödlund and Dennis Trevor Botchey came in for Albin Sporrong and Ahmed Ibrahim Mustafa.
IFK Eskilstuna's frustration began to show on the field, and Botchey received a warning in the 66th minute, followed by Peyman Alkoyun, who was substituted in the 84th minute. Huddinge's Shaun Lomas and Apollon Georgopoulos also received warnings during the final minutes of the match.
Nevertheless, it was Huddinge who maintained control and David Nyman and Apollon Georgopoulos were brought in to close out the game. And they succeeded – in the 90th minute, Diawara struck again to make it 2-0, which was the last goal of the match.
With this victory, Huddinge IF climbs in the table and surpasses IFK Eskilstuna. It was a well-played match where both teams showcased good football joy, and it was enjoyable to watch.
