It was a sunny Saturday afternoon at Brunna IP 1 when Arameisk-Syrianska IF faced Smedby AIS in Division 2 Södra Svealand. Only 100 spectators had made their way to the arena to watch the match.
Referee Jonas Jonsson blew the whistle to start the match, and it was the visiting team Smedby AIS who started the strongest, creating a couple of dangerous chances in the first few minutes. However, it was the home team that took the lead just before halftime. In the third minute of stoppage time, Bachir Katourgi scored to make it 1-0 for Arameisk-Syrianska IF.
In the second half, the home team seemed to have full control of the match. After ten minutes, Hugo Fernández made it 2-0 with a nice pass from Bachir Katourgi. Smedby AIS desperately tried to find their way back into the match and made three substitutions, but it didn’t help.
In the 62nd minute, Gustav Rydberg received a yellow card for Smedby AIS, and just a few minutes later, Zack Lindgren got a yellow card for the home team. Arameisk-Syrianska IF continued to dominate and made two substitutions in the 73rd minute. Ismail Okur and Dimitrios Bakalakos came on for Zack Lindgren and David Genc.
Towards the end of the match, Smedby AIS tried again and made two substitutions, but they could not find the back of the net. Instead, Hadi Wahedi received a yellow card for the visiting team in the 86th minute.
The match ended with a 2-0 victory for Arameisk-Syrianska IF. It was a deserved win as the home team had more possession and more shots on target. They are now looking forward to their next match in Division 2 Södra Svealand.
