It was a scorching Sunday afternoon at Tunavallen when IFK Eskilstuna hosted Arameisk-Syrianska IF in an exciting match in Division 2 Södra Svealand. In front of an audience of 245 people, Patrik Larsson blew the whistle to start the match, and it was the guests from Arameisk-Syrianska who came out strongest.
Just three minutes into the game, Bachir Katourgi scored the first goal, giving Arameisk-Syrianska the lead. IFK Eskilstuna tried to bounce back but struggled to create really dangerous chances. At halftime, the home team substituted three players in an attempt to turn the match around.
The second half became more balanced, and IFK Eskilstuna started to gain more and more possession. After 81 minutes of play, Robin Holm managed to equalize to 1-1, and Tunavallen erupted with joy. But Arameisk-Syrianska did not give up, and with only three minutes left in the match, Bachir Katourgi scored his second goal, securing the win for the guests.
The match ended 1-2 in favor of Arameisk-Syrianska IF, who thus took three important points in the pursuit of a promotion playoff spot to Division 1. IFK Eskilstuna will have to return to the drawing board and try to find their way back to winning ways in the next round.
