It was a match that IK Sleipner would have preferred to forget when they hosted Huddinge IF at Platinumcars Arena in Division 2 Södra Svealand. Although Sleipner started strong and took the lead with a goal from Nikola Sotra in the twelfth minute, this joy for the home team would prove to be short-lived.
Huddinge IF regrouped and found their rhythm, and it didn't take long before Ousman Touray equalized for the away team with a free kick in the thirty-third minute. Just two minutes later, Huddinge IF was awarded a penalty, and August Kaarle converted it confidently into the net to give the visitors the lead.
IK Sleipner tried to respond and made a double substitution at the end of the half. However, this made little difference, and the team was never able to establish any real pressure against Huddinge IF's defense.
The second half began with a warning for Huddinge IF’s Filip Nieminen Eriksson, and IK Sleipner felt compelled to make two more substitutions. But it did not help, and instead, it was Huddinge IF that scored the next goal when Joacim Corneliusson headed in a ball in the sixty-fourth minute. Huddinge IF’s Ousman Touray then received a yellow card in the seventieth minute.
IK Sleipner tried to push forward, but it was Huddinge IF that put the final nail in the coffin with a goal from Tiago Silva Sanchez in the eighty-eighth minute. Huddinge IF then made another substitution and secured a convincing victory with a score of 4-1.
The final whistle sounded, and Huddinge IF took home three important points, while IK Sleipner was left to face defeat on their home turf.
