Assyriska FF defeated Nyköpings BIS 3-1 in Sunday’s match at Södertälje Fotbollsarena. The home team started strong and took the lead after a well-executed corner in the 28th minute when Ekin Bulut redirected the ball into the away goal. Just two minutes later, Ibrahim Niang doubled the home team's lead with a well-placed free kick that found its way into the top right corner of the away goal.

However, before the halftime break, Assyriska experienced a turbulent period. Niang received a red card for a tackle that the referee deemed to be serious, and assistant coach Vasilios Boukas received a yellow card for protesting. Nyköping tried to take advantage of the numerical superiority, but Assyriska's defense held strong and managed to keep them at bay.

In the second half, the home team continued to press forward, and in the 57th minute, Linus Hillemar capitalized on a great cross from the right flank and shot in to make it 3-0. Nyköping sought to reduce the deficit, and in the 81st minute, Vincent Poppler replaced Metin Hedeney. It took only a few seconds for him to find Alexander Alp, who scored to make it 3-1.

Assyriska played out the match without losing focus and even threatened the away goal in the closing minutes. Nyköping received a yellow card, and both teams made substitutions in the final minutes before the referee blew the whistle to end the match. Assyriska secured three much-needed points and celebrated in front of the enthusiastic home fans in the stands.
