On Saturday afternoon, a very important match was played between Arameisk-Syrianska IF and Assyriska FF at Brunna IP 1. With the challenge of finishing the season at the highest level, both teams wanted to win. Assyriska FF, who were already leading the league, had the chance to confirm their position as number one, while Arameisk-Syrianska IF were fighting to keep their place in the top five.
The first few minutes looked relatively balanced, with both teams creating chances. But it was Assyriska FF who scored first. In the 29th minute, Anderson Ponciano Da Silva Santos Filho managed to score with a header, thus getting the first goal of the match. The second half started with a higher pace, but it was again Assyriska FF who increased their lead with two more goals. Anderson Ponciano Da Silva Santos Filho netted his second goal in the 47th minute and completed his hat trick in the 54th minute.
Arameisk-Syrianska IF tried to close the gap and replaced two players. But it did not help stop Assyriska FF, who continued to play with high intensity and commitment to score more goals. Ekin Bulut became the goal scorer in the 67th minute with a brilliant setup and shot into the far corner. In the 78th minute, Linus Hillemar took the ball and scored the sixth and final goal for Assyriska FF.
The match ended 1-6, and the audience at Brunna IP 1 witnessed a fantastic performance by Assyriska FF. Arameisk-Syrianska IF would like to thank their supporters for standing by them throughout the season, but it is now clear that their place in the top five will not be enough for a higher position in the league. Assyriska FF, however, can take pride in having gone the entire season unbeaten and winning in Division 2 Södra Svealand.
