Askims IK and Göteborgs DFF met on the artificial turf at Kobbegården 1 on a sunny Saturday afternoon. Both teams were looking for a victory, but it was Askims IK that delivered the most impressive performance, managing to win 7-4.
The match opened with an offensive Askims that quickly took the lead through Elin Nilsen in the seventh minute. It didn't take long before she found the net again, scoring the second goal for her team. In the thirteenth minute, she managed to score her third goal, completing a hat trick that gave Askims a comfortable 3-0 lead.
After Elin Nilsen's superb performance, Astrid Fors also found the goal for Askims, pushing the team to a 4-0 lead. However, Göteborgs DFF did not give up and fought back, managing to score their first goal through Savannah Ekner. Another goal by Olivia Alcaide in the 41st minute meant the team ended the first half with a glimmer of hope.
In the second half, both teams continued to fight hard and impress with their offensive style of play. Göteborg's defense was warned when Madelene Marin received a yellow card in the 24th minute. In the 58th minute, Elin Nilsen scored yet another goal for Askims, increasing the lead to 5-2.
Göteborg responded quickly again with another goal from Olivia Alcaide in the 60th minute, but Askims maintained their attacking play, and Elin Nilsen scored her fourth goal in the 67th minute. In the 71st minute, Savannah Ekner managed to score her second goal for Göteborg, but Askims capped off the match with a seventh goal from Elin Nilsen, who netted in the 76th minute.
Referee Ellen Karlsson and her assistants handled the match efficiently, and due to current restrictions, there was no audience present. When the match ended, Askims IK celebrated their significant home win while Göteborgs DFF had to leave with disappointment to take into their next match.
