It was a sunny Saturday afternoon at Hovgårdsvallen when IK Zenith hosted Göteborgs DFF in an exciting Division 2 match. Although there was no crowd in the stands, the players were ready to give their all on the field.
Referee Ellen Karlsson blew the whistle to start the match, and it didn’t take long for IK Zenith to take the lead. In the 18th minute, Tilda Andrén managed to shoot the ball into the net, giving her team an early lead of 1-0.
Göteborgs DFF tried to find their way back into the match, but it was IK Zenith who continued to press forward. In the 74th minute, Frida Steene extended the lead to 2-0 with a great goal, making it difficult for Göteborgs DFF to catch up.
Finally, IK Zenith secured the victory when Sandra Mannerstråle scored in the 86th minute, sealing the final score at 3-0. Despite several attempts from Göteborgs DFF to come back into the match, they could not get past IK Zenith's strong defense and goalkeeper.
When the referee blew the final whistle, IK Zenith could celebrate a well-deserved victory and three important points. Göteborgs DFF will now take lessons from the match and look forward to upcoming games in Division 2.
