It was an intense and exciting match between Götene IF and IK Gauthiod at Västerby IP A-plan in front of a crowd of 572 spectators. Referee Måns Werner Norving officiated the match with assistance from Tony Ekman and Per Gunterberg.
The match began with a tight battle in midfield, and it wasn't until the 27th minute that the first yellow card was issued, to IK Gauthiod's Sven Johansson. Götene IF took the lead in the 29th minute through Filip Andersson, which raised the atmosphere in the stands.
At halftime, Götene IF substituted in Albrim Demalijaj, and just two minutes into the second half, in the 47th minute, IK Gauthiod equalized through Sebastian Nilsson. The game flowed back and forth, and it wasn't long before Alfred Wemmert scored to make it 1-2 for IK Gauthiod in the 65th minute.
Götene IF did not give up and pushed for an equalizer. In the 83rd minute, Albrim Demalijaj managed to score his second goal of the evening, bringing the match level at 2-2. However, the excitement continued as Götene IF's Fredrik Gustafsson was sent off in the 85th minute after receiving his second yellow card. The match ended in a 2-2 draw, with both teams earning a point each in Division 2 Västra Götaland.
