On Sunday afternoon, Hittarps IK and Tenhults IF gathered at Laröds IP's A-field for an exciting match in Division 2 Västra Götaland. Hittarps were in third place in the table while Tenhults were sitting at the bottom. Due to COVID-19, the match was held without spectators and was officiated by Nehat Maxhuni, with Delavar Vahdanjo and Nikolas Eriksson as assistant referees.
The match started evenly, with play on both sides of the pitch. Peter Milata from Hittarps received a yellow card in the 36th minute, and Niklas Nielsen received one in the 44th minute. After a rather uneventful first half, Tenhults substituted Mustafa Deniz for Hugo Lönn.
The second half continued with equally tight play, but Hittarp made two substitutions, bringing Rasmus Ewertzh on for Peter Milata and Felix Erlanson on for Jonathan Olsson. Tenhults also made a substitution, with Robin Johansson replacing Brandon Curriston.
The match remained evenly contested without any really dangerous chances, but several yellow cards were issued. Hittarp substituted Emil Rosqvist for Niklas Svensson in the 75th minute. Michael Jahshan from Tenhults received a yellow card in the 78th minute, and Hugo Lönn received one in the 87th.
However, Tenhults had the final word when Mikael Axelsson headed in the only goal of the match in the 90th minute, just a few minutes into injury time. The match ended 0 - 1 in favor of Tenhults IF, who earned three points. Hittarps, despite being in third place in the table, had to settle for no points this time.
