An uneven match on Dalshov Artificial Grass resulted in an away victory for Varbergs GIF FK as they faced the home team Dalstorps IF. Despite Dalstorps IF being higher in the league table, it was Varberg who displayed better confidence and aggression during the match. After half an hour of play, Varberg received a warning when number 18, Fatmir Muric, earned a yellow card. Shortly after, Dalstorps IF brought in Johan Einarsson, but it was not enough to set the team on the right course.
In the 51st minute, Varberg scored the first goal of the match with a penalty from number 27, Pierre Tillman, who would go on to score both of the away team’s goals. In the 63rd minute, following a header goal by Anton Johansson, Dalstorps IF equalized. However, Varberg remained the stronger team, and substitutions of Milenko Malovic and Johan Carlsson helped increase their pressure on the opponents. Just over ten minutes later, Isak Johansson was substituted for Viktor Lid for Dalstorps IF, but this did not change much in the flow of the match.
With only a few minutes left in the game, Pierre Tillman struck again, putting the ball in the net for the second time, thereby securing a much-needed victory for Varbergs GIF FK. At the end, Varberg made another substitution when Filip Kylli Nilsson replaced Viktor Tuvenäs. Next season, Dalstorps IF will continue to play in Division 2 Västra Götaland while Varbergs GIF FK will be relegated.
