BK Olympic took control of the match from the start and after just five minutes, they scored the opening goal through Steven Gabriel. Vinbergs IF fought to get back into the game, but BK Olympic continued to dominate and increased their lead to 2-0 in the 57th minute with a goal from Othuke Christian Ajakpoloho. Just one minute later, Steven Gabriel extended the lead to 3-0 for the home team.

Vinbergs IF made substitutions, bringing on Anton Jonsson and Kristoffer Kull in the 60th minute, and it paid off immediately as they reduced the deficit to 3-1 just two minutes later through Medion Kabashi. They continued to push forward and brought on Marcus Torbjörnsson in the 70th minute to try to secure another goal.

BK Olympic tried to fend off Vinbergs IF, but Vinbergs IF kept fighting, and in the 88th minute, they were awarded a penalty, which Medion Kabashi converted, bringing the score to 3-2. The match ultimately ended with a tense but welcome victory for BK Olympic.
