The tension was palpable as Sävedalens IF and Kvarnby IK stepped onto the field at Vallhamra 1 Grass for a match in Division 2 Västra Götaland. Despite it being a Saturday afternoon, the crowd was nonexistent, but that didn’t stop the players from giving it their all.
Just 9 minutes in, Sävedalens IF received a yellow card and Kvarnby IK a red card when Oscar Nilsson Vilas was sent off. It didn’t take long before Robin Alnäs scored to make it 1-0 in the 19th minute, and just a minute later, Wilmer Melander doubled the lead to 2-0.
Andreas Ekblad showcased his skill by scoring 3-0 from a free-kick in the 38th minute, and frustratingly for Kvarnby IK, they also conceded an own goal just six minutes later. Before halftime, Florian Brahimi received a yellow card while Kvarnby IK made a substitution, with Sävedalens IF maintaining full control of the match.
Immediately after the break, Jonatan Viker scored to make it 5-0, followed by goals from Rasmus Tengfjord and Alexander Wiksten. Kvarnby IK faced another setback when coach Ulf Jansson was sent off from the sideline in the 57th minute.
Sävedalens IF continued to dominate and piled on the goals, ultimately finishing the match with a remarkable 9-0 victory. Robin Alnäs and Johan Örtorp each scored two goals, and Sävedalens IF could celebrate an impressive win.
